Flight School
Mid Island Air Service, Inc. is an FAA Part 141 and 61 flight school. We offer primary and advanced pilot training, as well as accelerated flight training, for Sport Pilot, Private Pilot, Commercial, Instrument, and Certified Flight Instructor Ratings. All courses require to pay an enrollment fee. Whether you wish to fly for pleasure or are interested in commercial pilot training, our school can satisfy all of your needs. We are the only school in NY that is Landing Doctor Certified.
We are approved for the training of foreign flight students as well as US citizens. Please see our Flight Training Student Program section for TSA requirements.
As required by FAR 91.103, we require that you complete a Weight and Balance and Preflight Risk Assessment prior to every flight.
For safety and to provide our students with the best aviation resources, we strongly recommend that students:
