It's been 68 years since Gail Mancuso's father moved on from instructing English and Scottish pilots in World War II and began instructing the local population of this coastal community. Louis Mancuso was born in Bethpage in 1919. His father Dominick came to the U.S. as a teenager from Calabria, Italy. His mother Rose (Mancuso) Mancuso also came from Calabria.
